The timer runs in your browser. Your runs, settings and history are kept in the browser’s own storage on your phone. Your location never leaves your phone.
It is off unless you turn it on. When it is on, each finished run is sent to us so we can make the timer more accurate: the times and speeds, the GPS readings’ timing, speed and accuracy (never their position), the phone’s motion readings during the run, your browser and operating system family, and a random code made on your phone that links your runs together. We never receive where you drove.
We use these runs only to improve the timer. They are kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. You can delete all of them at any time with “Delete the runs I’ve sent” on the timer, which also forgets the random code. Turning sharing off stops anything more being sent. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw by turning it off.
